1. About Hummly
Hummly is a music creation app that helps you turn your own melodies into music by adding chords and beats. This Privacy Policy explains how Hummly handles information when you use our app, visit hummlymusic.com, or contact us.
For privacy questions, contact tekibuilds2026@gmail.com.
2. Your Music Stays on Your Device
Hummly processes and stores your recordings, imported audio, melody analysis, and song projects locally on your device.
We do not upload your music, recordings, or projects to our servers or third-party AI services. We do not use your music to train AI models. You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to make music with Hummly.
Your saved songs and drafts remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app's local data. Device backups may retain copies depending on your settings.
3. Permissions and Third-Party Services
Microphone: Hummly requests microphone access when you choose to record a melody. You can manage this permission in your device settings.
File Access: You can import audio files using the system file picker. Hummly only accesses the files you choose.
Instrument Sounds: Some instrument samples are downloaded from third-party hosting services. These downloads may involve standard technical information, such as your IP address, but do not include your recordings or song projects.
Sharing: When you export or share music, you choose where to send it. Files shared with other apps or services are subject to their respective privacy practices.
4. Analytics and Tracking
Hummly does not use product analytics, advertising trackers, or session recording tools in the current app.
We do not sell your personal information or track your activity across other apps and websites.
5. Website and Launch Updates
When you visit our website, our hosting and security providers may process basic technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and request logs, to operate and protect the website. The website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive technical connection information.
If you join our optional launch waitlist, we collect your email address and signup time to send updates about Hummly's launch and availability.
We use trusted service providers to host our website and store this information. We do not use website product analytics, session replay, or advertising tracking.
You can request to stop receiving launch emails or have your waitlist information deleted at any time by emailing tekibuilds2026@gmail.com.
6. Data Retention and Your Choices
Your music is stored locally. You can delete saved songs within Hummly, and you can remove the app's local data by deleting the app. Files you have exported, shared, or backed up separately may remain outside Hummly.
We retain waitlist information while providing the updates you requested, unless you withdraw your consent or the waitlist is closed.
If you contact support, we use your email and any information you provide to respond to your request. Support correspondence and technical records are retained only as needed for support, security, and applicable legal obligations, subject to relevant service providers' retention practices.
You can contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold, subject to applicable law. We cannot remotely access or delete music stored only on your device.
Our service providers may process limited technical and contact information in other countries, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
7. Children, Changes, and Contact
Our website waitlist is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their contact information.
We may update this Privacy Policy as Hummly evolves. Any changes to how we collect or use information will be reflected in the updated policy, and we will request consent when required.
